I almost forgot to introduce myself, so here I am.^^

My boardname is Priestess Shauni and I'm from Germany. My hobbies are reading, listening to music, Japanese culture, language and history (maybe I can swap ideas with Kuromeru) and BGE of course - no, not only a hobby but a bit devotion. - Ok, lots of devotion. XD

This forum is awesome, I really like the Fanfics section because there aren't only ideas of how the story could go on but also fics about the world of BGE in general - and because I write myself about it, too.^^ Maybe I'm gonna post some of my stories.
Like you all I really wish for the sequel of BGE because it's shame that the story shan't be solved just because the game didn't sell well (there are already enough films, books and other good stories in the world who won't be continued because of money matters -.-).

This contains all our artworks in progress, and sometimes even finished. It's also a lot of discussion, so there can be pages without work.

-The Official Fanart Thread
This contains Fanart from our members from digital to pencil. But it also contains artworks from deviantart members, and stuff we found on the web. It's outdated, because there's so much art being produced that no one really wants to update it. Perhaps I should take the task on me one of these days...

-The Factory
The factory is the place for the specific projects, Music videos, fan comics, A BGE wiki and lots more! Check it out, you're bound to see something you like.

And we have lot's of topics just for fun which can be found in other sections, we hang out there a lot! A little to many in fact, we should stick some more time in the projects, but everybody has busy personal lives...

If they can make a movie based on the Firefly series, then they can get a BG&E sequel rolling.

Of course, a film-adaption would be a top of the tops, but you would have to find a good script and a good director to realize it.

;) Director? No problem. I can do that. Good script? I'll have to talk to Ancel and the writers of the first game before I do anything else. Then I'll get writers from Labyrinth, The Never Ending Story, and Finding Nemo.

After that, it's all vision, heart, and soul. ^_^

What I have heard, the several film adaptations of games made till now mostly aren't much well-made. So I wouldn't make this efforts, because I fear this can easily happen to BGE adaptation.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant: There can be so much damage done with a basically excellent story, either because the film is illocigal or it misses the atmosphere of the game.

P.S. What can you do in the thread "Challenges"?

Hey, a film of BG&E could work with the right people behind it. Of course, we'd need an experienced and telented director with some of the fans (from the Revolution, of course) as advisors to the project. They will need our input.

The only true good adaptation was Silent Hill, it had the heart and soul of the director being a fan, the only thing it didn't have was a good script.

UGHHHHHHHHH, the SH movie was terrible, horrible, atrocious :wacko: Mostly everything about it was WRONG! :P

From a SH-fan's perspective who watches every little detail and compares it with the game, perhaps. But (perphaps it's just me) I could definitely feel the touch of a fan behind it. The look, feel and sound of Silent Hill was there, it just wasn't scary at all and the dialogue was bad. It was a decent Silent Hill-film and a far more interesting horrorfilms than most that came out in recent years.

Take a team like that for any gamefilm and add a good scriptwriter (who's also fan of the game) and I'm happy.

No problemo :) And not only stories, even videos, from what I hear.

I've read into it: only certain people are allowed to post videos. You have to request permission to post videos, and show a video project as an example of what you would post.

Hmm... Come to think of it, it's logical - videos take more space than images and stories.

I really recommend to everyone to read that fanfic, it's totally worth your time! :welldone:
