Title: Introduce Yourself!
Description: Welcome to the boards!

Pey'j - January 7, 2005 03:42 AM (GMT)
Welcome to the boards, fellow BGE fan! Let us get to know you right here.

Name: Pey'j ('cause I'm kinda the leader...heh, get it?...heh)

Occupation: Unemployed \m/

Strengths: I can write stuff, I've always got some crazy idea in the back of my head, and I am, of course, obsessed with BGE.

Weaknesses: I am severely artistically challenged. Drawing smiley faces is my specialty. :P

No. of copies of BGE I own: Unfortunately only one right now, but I'm hoping to get a couple more :P

Denden666Piek - January 7, 2005 11:47 AM (GMT)
nickname: Denden666Piek, originally Denden 100 Piek.
Age: 17
gender: male
country: Holland

I started with gaming for about ten years ago on my gameboy. I became a serious gamer about 6 years ago, when I got my first pc and psx. I switched from Sony to Nintendo when I bought the Gamecube last year. I love the Gamecube, I have a serious passion for gaming ever since I bought that thing. Favourite games are Metal Gear Solid(so I'm very happy with Twin Snakes), The Sims, Final Fantasy VII, Zelda The Wind Waker, Deus Ex and Beyond Good & Evil. Before I started to become a serious gamer, I was a movie freak(still am) and I loved a good and complex story(still do). So when I became a gamer, my favourite games were those with a good story and much influence from movies. Beyond Good & Evil is the first game I already loved before it was even clear to me what kind of game it was really going to be. I fell in love with the first couple of screenshots I saw, and I got excited with the little information there was about this game. I watched the game closely, and now it's one of my favourite games, just like I already knew for certain a long time before release. I love a game like Beyond Good & Evil, because it also could have been a beautiful movie with a great story, characters, and good 'acting', but it still succeeds to be a wonderful and above all fun game. I have two copies of BG&E(GC and PC). I'm a very serious gamer(although not a very good one), I love my hobby more than anything else(except for movies, my family and my friends of course). At this moment I am still obsessed with the game. There isn't much I can do to help, but you guys have my support. I'm joining the revolution, not only do I want BG&E2, I really NEED it!!!

Sorry to here that. :( Please tell us your problem in detail in the Feedback section, maybe it's something we can fix for the future.

manicx - February 4, 2005 02:53 PM (GMT)
Hello there

My name is Nikos and I am from Greece. I am 30, working as a S/W engineer specializing in Java servlets. My hobbies are computer games and sports. BGE is probably the best game I played together with Kick Off 2 and Half Life 2. Since the last two games are No 2s, I hope to add BGE 2 in my list. I am a webmaster in a fansite for Kick Off 2 and I am currently trying to convince people to buy BGE. Today, I managed to make two people to buy it ! :D

JerichoMccoy - February 4, 2005 05:25 PM (GMT)
Hello there Manicx! I'm Jericho!

I'm also trying to learn programming.. which I should be doing right about now... crud.
And you managed to get two people to buy the Epic? Nice Going!!! Now tell those two to get two other people to buy it, then those four will tell another two people making eight and then those eight....

You get the idea. Oh and if you need to laugh, just laugh at me. Go ahead. Try it out. Look, I'll laugh at myself for starters..

"Hahahahahahaha! You have hair! Hahahahahaaha! "
It's that simple. :)

Grey - February 5, 2005 02:46 AM (GMT)
Ugh, can't believe I didn't bother with this thread earlier...

Uhhh, the name is Grey (duh) and of course I loved this game. I'm a big fan of Metroid, Zelda and Metal Gear so naturally this game would appeal to me since it shares so many things in common with all three. In fact, that's the reason I picked the game up, because of all the comparisons (and gushing praise on the Metroid Database and Zelda Universe forums) . I'm glad I did.

Anyway, I'm not much good with computers and Internet stuff; I tend to just loaf around on message boards. I had this one site for card games on Geocities once, but it was never that big, and I haven't updated in years, so that won't be any help. Is there anything I can really do?

Lightweight - February 7, 2005 10:06 PM (GMT)
Name: Lightweight (Also known as Red_Shy_Guy at 1up.com and Yahoo messenger)

Age: 19

Occupation: currently unemployed, but looking. (You want seeds?)

Gender: male

Location: Puerto Rico, The center of the universe! (or at least the Caribbean)

Current Faves: Mario & Luigi, Tales of Symphonia, Alien Hominid.

Forever Faves: Super Mario Bros., BG&E, Tetris, LoZ: Ocarina of Time, Yoshi's Island.

Misc: Just like everyone here, I loved playing the game from beginning to end, and, jutl like everyone here, I was left begging for more after viewing the ending of BG&E, and, just like everyone here, Just wants to see a sequel. I will help spread the word as much as possible to see if we can move mountains and actually make Ubi make a sequel. But one thing one must keep in mind: not just a sequel for the sake of the sequel. (If that was the case, Tomb Raider: AOD would've been highly praised.) I want to see a sequel that everyone actually wants to play.

I am part of another forum called "Ethereality", which is a place where we disuss videogames and anime in general, play games, and just go lpain nuts! If you want to go, : Follow the link:

Ethereality: Embrace the Dream

Now don't confuse me as a spammer, please! (man, I hate it when it happens!)

Viva la revolution! Oh, and EA sucks!

Oh, well there was a thread about this site on the Xbox BG&E on GameFAQs, and I followed it here. The poster's name was something like SausageMan23. Was that you by any chance?

manicx - February 8, 2005 01:21 PM (GMT)
A friend actually proposed me to visit the site since I was taking the piss about how BGE is the best game eva and how crap the current market is. He said, go there and register! :)

Well, i've red about this forum at a dutch gamingsite. Someone opened a topic there, and i'd love to have a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil. Ubisoft is one of my favourite publishers, and Beyond Good & Evil is a very good game. It has got good humor, a nice style, and my own language (dutch) was translated well, included the jokes and stuff. It's a shame that it wasn't a commercial succes, but i still hope that Ubisoft will make a BG&E sequel. I'll be the first one who will buy that game when it comes out :)

Duke - February 8, 2005 07:32 PM (GMT)
YAY! Another Dutchie!
BTW don't you think its weird to have a womans name as a nickmane when you are actually a guy(Ithink :P )
How did you end up in these forums anyway? Maybe via some Dutch topics I started B)

I'm Nemo, better known as Krogstad, I'm the singer for Asphyxiate, my band
www.asphyxiate-band.com
and I'm a pretty big gamer, and I love BG&E but was bummed because I'm a storyline freak, when I found out there was no conclusion in the first one, so I'm signing up to traise all hell if necessary, to see an end to the story we all love

X5Guevara - February 20, 2005 09:14 PM (GMT)
Hi everyone!
I usually check the update on the official BG&E forums, but lately I've been checking on this and the movie site soo.

Anyways, yeah I'm Canadian but weirdly enough my grandmother is Dutch...I think i posted in the wrong topic.

Ummm my fave games are dead or alive 3 and Ultimate, I love POP:SOT, BG&E, and I wanna play Dark Angel.

1st year psych student.
I check in on the forums every so often for updates, and I'm working on story thing relating to this soo.

Secundo - February 21, 2005 10:27 PM (GMT)
Dutch....Dutch...Dutch...

Well yall. After the site launch, if you don't know, we are setting up new forums. forums because with all the languages represented here I think we can all agree that a Dutch forum should be on the way!

Perhaps even a dutch translation of the site later on down the road...

I've got a few people in mind that might want to translate but that's still WAY down the road.

Anyway, there is a summary of the plans of this board just to catch the new folks up. Thanks for joining and I hope you hae a great time with the Revolution!

Resil - February 21, 2005 11:22 PM (GMT)

JBlink - February 24, 2005 03:35 AM (GMT)
My name is Jay and my alias is JBlink. I realise that might be a problem because you already have a member named Blink, but we are mature enough to get around that.

Age:17
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA)
Intrests: Typical Nerd stuff.

I joined because I like debating stuff, especially plots of Literature/Movies/Games. I got abused alot at the Ubisoft message board becuase I disagreed with the common "Shauni Theory". I hope I can have a better time here.

Wait dang...did I say I was 17. I'm 18. Holy crap. I'm a moron.

Secundo - February 26, 2005 09:16 PM (GMT)
Happens to me all the time. Heck, I still put 2004 on some places (The beta version of the site as soon as it opened is a PRIME example.... It's changed now however...)

Welcome JBlink (There will be no confusion, I swear...), Resil (My dutch is no-existent so we should get along fine), and Chyld of Filth (You ROCK!!! :D )

Check out the rules and vision of the board so we have NO confusion. If you have any questions then let us know!

Duke - February 26, 2005 10:03 PM (GMT)
hey about those seperate forums for dutchies (like me :D )
I don't think that's a good idea. I think everyone should just post in the same forums. We don't have that much members so whatever is posted must be readable for anyone (my opinion).
BTW I could help with the translation although I don't know any HTML or whatever.

I love BG&E, at that's the reason of my membership here. I'm also interested in music and I think music from BG&E is one of the best things in this game. Sins of the Father rules!
