Title: Funny fan facts
Description: Stuff you found out, after playing BGE

The_Evil_Reaper - September 20, 2005 02:53 PM (GMT)
Hello People,

I thought to myself, he why don’t I make a topic. So, I thought of a subject; funny fan facts. The goal of this topic is that I would like to know the things you found about BG&E, after playing the game more than once. I’ll start, off course.

- People stop protesting(movingly) while you are trying to make a picture of them.
- The map in the secret base isn’t up to date, after the destruction of the lighthouse.
- The messages on the tv’s in the city change throughout the game, though the one in the lighthouse remains the same.
- Not only rats, but also other creatures turn into crystals when you throw a gyro disc at them.

At last, a picture which has two funny things on it:

user posted image

Where is that soldiers head? Also notice Hahn still likes to dress up like the taxidriver of mister Du Castellac. :P

Denden666Piek - September 20, 2005 03:14 PM (GMT)
Haha, that's really funny. And I honestly didn't notice these things, but I'm bad at noticing things. I could play a game a hundred times, see a movie a hundred times, I can't see the little details until they're pointed out to me...And Hahn is just a wannabe Morpheus, going undercover whenever he gets the chance because he thinks he looks cool in that outfit.

Well, it does look better than that sweatshirt he wears in the IRIS headquarters.

Alexa - September 20, 2005 03:22 PM (GMT)
Ok,so a stupid fact: Even tried to shoot at the vehicles flying around the Hillys?
Eheheh,so try :P

BTW:I can see two Nouris!

Alexa - September 20, 2005 03:31 PM (GMT)
Wait,I discovered something...
How'd they travelled to moon so quickly?
It have to took about a year :P
But it explains why day on the Hillys is so short :P

And the moon looks like it have atmosphere...
Hillys got a atmosphere, but if so,flying through it needs to fly with precision :P
If you fly through it badly, you'll look like smoked ham :P

Of course! By doing that, you get some really cheesy lines in the Dutch version. But hey, it IS translated from English. Anyway, yeah that's a fun thing to do, and one of the few things I discovered myself. Also something I discovered on my own, during my fourth playthrough, was looting the sailing ships from their crates with some precise aiming. No cops!

The_Evil_Reaper - September 20, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
That's true, shooting airships is fun :P . If you trying hard enough(after you shot a airship 4 times), you shake of the police by manouvering and eventually landing(in the lighthouse or the mammago garage) :D.

It's no GTA or anything but hey, it's still fun. Maybe the copchase thing is something they could work out for the sequel. They've already merged several genres together with BG&E, now they can try and take a bit of free-roaming from GTA for the sequel.

Yeah, something like the looter caverns, only you're the one being chased :P.
I think those looter cars look like cop cars anyway... :P

Denden666Piek - September 20, 2005 07:12 PM (GMT)
They're just corrupt cops...Yay, now I've discovered another funny thing in the game. The looters are cops gone bad...Muahahaha! B)

The BG&E people got lazy with the models, did you notive that? if you look, you can see the same model about 8 times in different places. they really got unbelievably lazy, that's why you can see so many character that are duplicates or that don'r fit right... it's the thrid most annoying thing in BG&E. the forth is that i can't fins any exploit, that REALLY bugs me. i've tried in so many ways to skip some part of the game, but it's locked up tight. second most annoying this is the way the camera angles really screw up whenever you try and fight the Alphas (i went through and killed every single one of them cos i hated them so much for the lighthouse thing...), but the most annoying thing in BG&E is the fact that it's so short!

anyway, fun facts. Pey'j's ears have a realistic flop just like Jades hair. ever notive that? oh, and take a moment to notice the world around you... you'll see how the trees and the plants sway, the star constelations, the way the light rays that come through the windows in the lighthouse appear to have dust moving through them. have a look at the scenery in BG&E closely, the detail is amazing. it's fascinating to notice the little things... the detail of the animations, the way the shield shimmers, the fantastically animated textures and the detail of the sky... it's things like that that make me prowd to own such a marvelous game...

JerichoMccoy - September 23, 2005 04:59 AM (GMT)
Oh man..

I now have to play the game again. Thanks alot sir!

Speaking of the Constellations..There is a red planet that hovers near Hillys in different days... I have to find out its name..

I noticed that Mosquito thing stuck in the Cow's nose is from Rayman. Old news but hey, I like presenting old news. ^_^

And does anyone know what the name of that Squrell-Penguin thing on top of the lighthouse is called? Someone get me a picture of it!

*opens up his guide* The name of the penguin/otter/one-eyed monster is Lutra Erecta. There are two places where you can photograph him: 1. On top of the lighthouse, but only with the shield up.
2. In the destroyed lighthouse, he will still be running around in circles, disoriented. He'll be walking behind a low wall. It's the easiest way to get a picture of it, but I only found out he was there after I read the guide.

The name of the Rayman-mosquito says it all: Aedus ErectusIf I remember correctly, he was the first boss in the original Rayman. When you beat him, he started to cry and Rayman felt sorry for him. Then they became friends, and you can hop on him to do a flight-level, which is fun. You can also find them flying around in Rayman 2.

The guide is a wonderful source of information, BTW.

Cool, I didn't know a few things just mentioned. What I think is an annoying thing, that the people who bring the crates to the stores just don't want to have a conversation.....

- I also noticed that Double H says some new things if you bring him back to the Factory or if you bring him to the black isle. Check it out :D.

- Which is perhaps funny to notice, that Francis isn't really that good at pallet. I watched him playing against the CPU, but it took him like 10 minutes to win one round! :o

Haha, I never watched Francis play on his own, maybe I'll do that. Just like bringing Double H back to the factory, that's funny.

Did anyone else get this glitch too? When you go back to the Black Isle with Double H, and you reach the bridge which you had to lower in order for Pey'j to cross the gap. The Jade-Pey'j dialogue is triggered from the part where Jade sidles against the wall to cross the gap, and Pey'j comments on it. It's really weird.

And I don't even want to talk to those cratepeople, they are probably boring anyway.

Ehm...perhaps they are lazy making new models because it costs a lot of time. So why not dress them up differently. Thats almost in every game that they use the same models on different places. Just like GTA were you can see the same character ten times...and that isn't annoying. I think a game is a good game if it has a good storymode and this game has got a good story. So I don't mind to see the same model a lot.

Alexa - October 1, 2005 11:04 AM (GMT)
I've noticed weird thing about Commandor Keck...
Ever watched "Stargate SG-1"?
In Tok-ra's language "Keck" means "Weakness" or "Death"...

Ancel was watching SG-1?...
:P

The_Evil_Reaper - October 1, 2005 11:21 AM (GMT)
Cool, I didn't know that, Stargat SG-1 is a pretty cool program(have you seen the one about the time loop :P), but I only saw a few episodes so far... :( .

Now for another few funny fan facts:
- Have you ever noticed the hands of the Hillian army? Index finger apart from the other fingers, and in stead of fists, which would be more logical, the stand there with open hands.....(what's it called? posture?)
- Have you ever tried to get back to Hillys with Pey'j, when you are on the moon?
You can't, and Pey'j has got some remarks about the boys from mammago's :P.
- Bumping in to boats can be fun, Jade says some funny things like: where did that come from?
- You can bump into crates with the beluga, and see who far the crate flies :P.
- And for those who don't know(I tried it the first time I played the game), crates destroyed with the Beluga contain boosters instead of crystals. :D

Tigeris - October 2, 2005 04:03 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I found that last one very convient for winning race times.

Here's some old'd stuff from my whole theory thing (I'll post it tomorrrow)

Jade touches Peyj right where the domz spore grows.

And, I've heard that where Jade touched HH is where his spore grows, but I didn't notice that when I was looking. Has anyone here seen it and I just had a mental lapse?

One last thing I noticed on the second time through is how cool the scene where the IRIS Network enters the great crypt is at the end :superior:

Cool, I haven't noticed that before, I mean from the spore on Pey'j his hand. Never thought about it in that way.... :P

Well, the Stargate series was crap in my opinion, but I saw the movie so many times, that i didn't like the new actors so it's probably me. Maybe I should see the series again someday.

And of course I tried going back to Hillys. We all did, right? Anyway, Pey'j is funny. When he made that remark about the Mammago's, I realized just how much I missed him and his jokes throughout the middle-part of the game. And I also discovered the boostercratesthing, during my second playthrough. But since I took the challenge of beating the races(including records) without boosts, it wasn't of much use to me. Too bad there isn't some kind of cheat where you can have infinite boost. Not to cheat in the races or anything(completely unnecesairy too), but it's so fun to go fast!!! B)

Jade touches Peyj right where the domz spore grows.

I noticed about Pey'j, that was pretty obvious because the touch of Jade happened not too long before that scene and it was seen again when Pey'j told Jade she revived him. But I honestly never thought about Jade touching Double H on the spot where his DomZ spore appears. Wait, I'll play the speedrun!

*opens Winamp-player and speedrun file*

Well, I've just watched the scene where Jade saves Double H from the soul-sucking machine and I can tell you that Jade did *not* touch Double H. She kneeled down to talk to him, but she didn't touch him.

Okay, good, that means that I am ideed sane (well... for the most part). I'd always heard people saying that she touched his neck, but I guess they were all wrong. Anyways, I suppose that we can chalk that just up to the fact that he was in the machine. thanks.

Regarding the picture above, isn't Chico (that small boy nearest the screen) meant to be taken by the Domz, not standing around looking at the screen? Another funny thing about the picture. Ps Hans looks halarious in that picture!!! So does the soldier!!!

That's Chico alright, somebody pointed that out to me some time ago. Now we could think of all kinds of excuses of course, but let's face it: the gamedesigners got a bit lazy. Or the time-pressure became to much, that's also a possibility.

It didn't receive very positive reviews too, if I remember correctly. But the guy looked funny. If it came out today, I think I would have played it.

You ever notice, if you watch Yoa from behind, she has no feet!!!! Only her gown moves and you can see it move, but no feet!!! Also, Yoa is Phsycic (or sometin like that). I got stuck for ages at the bit where you have to open the hanger. I talked to Yoa and she said, '...That Night... Bantha... Pey'j look under shoes...open two boards....Bantha...Bantha..' it was sometin like that anyway. I then got past that part. She'll also tell you that Pey'j joined the Iris Network if you ask her early in the game. ;)

FutureFish - November 25, 2005 09:40 PM (GMT)
Lol, Yoa is one of my fav characters, alongside Fehn and the dude that goes "Hey! PeyJ! Is that you?!" from the airship. *smirk* Yoa tells you a lot of things.. she tells you to go join IRIS early to start in the game..

Denden666Piek - November 25, 2005 11:00 PM (GMT)
I want Yoa to have a big role in my fanfic, she rulez!

The_Evil_Reaper - November 26, 2005 12:38 PM (GMT)
