Title: RUMOR: Michel Ancel fired from Ubisoft.
Description: (How will this affect BG&E2?)

(Before I begin, let me say I HATE Windows Vista. Even with this time to familiarize myself with it, I still find myself making stupid mistakes... like deleting the whole online history in it, making it rather hard for me to get you the link with the rumor story.)

Anyway, for what I remember, Sir Michel Ancel, which we all know as the visionary behind BG&E, has recently been let go from Ubisoft, meaning he won't have anything more to do with the French-born publisher.

Why was he fired? Well... rumor has it that ever since Rayman Raving Rabbids came out on 2006 as a minigame collection, he's been making rather scathing comments about Ubi higher-ups. He's been close from being fired before, but managed to keep his position by the skin of his teeth and some administrative help. However, this time he was not so lucky.

From what I remember, He took the whole "carte blanche" bit for BG&E 2 a bit too far, and they started going over-budget. He was warned a few times about it, but he didn't care, apparently saying something along the lines of "this is MY masterpiece, and you cannot tell me how I do my work." That clinched it for Ubi brass, and gave him the boot.

So, what does this mean for BG&E 2? Hopefully, not much. Ancel has gone on record saying that he had the BG&E2 script practically done, and his annotations are sure to exist somewhere, so he could easily entrust those to someone he trusts within Ubi Montpellier. However, I'd expect some cuts in production values here and there. And if they were making a 3rd version of the game (Wii or PC), I'd expect them to can that version and concentrate on the versions already announced (PS3, X360).

Now that I've brought you these rumors (remember the keyword: RUMOR), I'll disappear to swim on the internet for that link.

I will present a façade of unimpressed discontent. <_<

Pretty well written though. If I was an unevolved sea mammal, you might actually have fooled me :P.

Y'know, it's a lot better attempt than last year's (the one with the "call to arms"). I always find an April Fools' joke bad when the joker claims that it's absolutely NOT an April Fools' joke. Nice try, man :)

Did I claim it was NOT an April Fools joke? I merely said it was a rumor. (you know, "rumor", as in... not exactly true?)

And will you please let last year's travesty die, please. I repent a thousand times for doing it, now please let it die.

You know what? Fine. Next time, I'll let you guys do the honors. Try and fool us good.

As of now, this topic is best off closed and thrown away.

Let me do the honors :sinister:
