We have multiple banners for other forums to use. Small are small size for most forums and a big one for those who accept big banners:














If you choose to affiliate with BGE Revolution your affiliation banner will be added to the drop down box and the image will be added to the affiliation box.

You can read all about affiliations here . I'll see if we can affiliate with this forum as well, when I get back from school.

I don’t mean to sound stupid, but what’s a banner?

From now on, this topic will be the one where we can dicuss affiliates and where people from other forums can come to us(if that ever happens ;) )and request to affiliate. You can also PM me of course. Or one of the other admins if they want it.

Oh, when I'm talking about the affiliation banner, I'm talking about the picture in the affiliation box at the bottom of the forum. That's a picture that's going to represent us in forums of the affiliates. It's also clickable, it links to this forum.

What size do we need for a banner?
And should it be animated?

I looked it up in the dictionary and it sais it's an advrtisment on a webpage.
In this case that what you see when you scroll up is our banner.
Correct me if I'm wrong cause I'm wrong all the time :P

It's in the dictionary? Okay then, didn't know that. I must admit I didn't exactly know the true definition of a banner myself.

G.A.Pster, we need a new banner of 90x40. It doesn't have to be animated. I don't think that will be necessairy, anyway. I think we just need some way of making it stand out from a crowd of banners. If you've got any ideas, you're welcome to try them out on your own banner design. I think once we get a right sized banner, that I'll place 9t next to the old one. That way we have two banners for people to choose from. And besides, Phil's banner looks cool, but it's just too big unfortunately. Thankfully, Ramirez accepted it. But I fear that other forums won't. I'm checking forums out right now, but I can't take action intil we've got a 90x40 banner.

UPDATE: Okay, I asked about affiliation with World of Nintendo just now. The reaction was this:

"Beyond chill and Evil is a GC game, nothing wrong with that. We probably won't help much, but we could accept your affiliation with us."

In other words, once we get a new affiliate banner, we could have a second affiliate!

90 by 40 that’s pretty chill, I was thinking a picture of jades eye (with BGE revolution) or just a text one “Beyond chill & Evil, revolution”

I'll see what I can do.

The colour looks a bit weird, but I'd say it's a good idea for the affiliation banner.

If you decide to use it make sure to ask what dimensions the site will let you use have a large one I can shrink to whatever size you want.

G.A.Pster, excellent job, I think that's really a standout-banner and it looks good too. Since I'm about to leave now, the others will have the opportunity of commenting on it. Otherwise, I would have used it immediately. :)

I have returned from the movie-editing. I'm going to eat right now, but afterwards I might have time for putting the banner in the box.

EDIT: Okay done. I had some trouble with putting it in there nicely(my HTML-skills consist only of copy and paste from existing code), but I think it looks nice now. Since Phil's banner looks so cool and maybe another forum will accept bigger affiliate banners, I decided to keep it there. Now that we have the right size banner, affiliation can take off! Okay, we now have World of Nintendo as an affiliate as well! I think this is great. World of Nintendo is a good forum for nintendo-fans. So if you like Nintendo games I urge you to post there as well. I'd really appreciate it if members here post on the forums of our affiliates. I'm keeping keeping this thing small for now, we have two affiliates and a third MIGHT be underway. Other affiliates will come in time, no need to rush this. It's new to me and to most of us too, I think.

I ask all members to post on Ramirez's Tower and World of Nintendo. It's not an obligation, it's just a request. They'll appreciate it and it will be good for our forum as well. So get out there and make them know how Revolutionary we are!

Yes G.A.Pster, I understand. Not everyone here is nintendo fan so I won't blame anyone for not posting, of course. But hey, you were the one pointing me towards Ramriez's Tower, which is a really fun forum, if there are people posting that is. And it gave me the idea of this affiliation thing, so I should thank you for that too. Thanks! ^_^

Okay, i told Denden and Alexa in chatbox yesterday, that i have a Forum too. And Denden said, that it would be great, if we become affiliate. But the problem is, my board is german and dead! I could change the language in english, so i can change it in an international forum. I think, that would be a great Idee, because my board is very quiet , and if you post in this board, we get new member or something like that. btw, my board is about Due South, a canadian series about a mounty in chicago :D

Yeah, I think it would be cool to affiliate the Revolution forum to a forum of one of our members. But as long as it's dead and it's German you don't see me posting there, I'm afraid. Well, I could help revival by posting a bit about general subjects, but not as long as its German, I'm afraid. It's your forum, you'll have to decide for yourself if you want to go through the trouble of making it an international forum.

i have worked on my forum, if you look at my forum, you can see, that the board language is now English! Only the topics and areas etc must be changed in english!

Now we have the kind of affiliate that we need! A Beyond Good & Evil fansite! The forum is kinda new, so there aren't many members yet. That's where we come in. Join and make this forum work. We can have a third real active BG&E fansite and forum! The site is great as well, while still in dvelopment, it has potential to be a great fansite for BG&E- and King Kong fans alike. What? That's right, King Kong fans can also join in, because the site and the forum are all BG&E and King Kong. What a wonderful combination! I sincerely hope you will all post there and bring the forum to life. And then there's a most special aspect of this site ánd the forum as well: it's both dutch and english! Nice touch, since there are some dutch members here as well. I think it's cool that we have been able to affiliate with this fansite. May all BG&E and King Kong fans join together on this site!

And the best is that in this forum they are fighting for sequel of anachanox, so they should be helpful.
