Title: What is the last game you bought?
Description: Tell us which game you bought last....
Plus - February 19, 2006 10:01 AM (GMT)
Ok well this is a topic where you can tell everybody about the last game you bought for your games-collection, tell us why you bought it and what you like and/or dislike about it.
Others can react on your post by saying they like that game too or ask for how much you bought it and where.
Seeing as i made this topic i will start.....
I bought Resident evil: Deadly Silence on friday. It is a US-inport and i bought it for 50 euro's (that's less than 50 dollars). I think it's a great game because the mic and touchscreen give the game a lot more of puzles. When you play it you can feel the Resi-vibe just dripping of the screen.... it's a great game for any resi-fan !!
So it was this game for me:

So who will be next to post ? :ph43r:

My last bought game was King Kong, Beacuse it was made by Michel-The Great One. It was really funtastic, but I think that it was too Short.
Denden666Piek - February 19, 2006 10:50 AM (GMT)
The last game I bought was SSX 3 last week for only 9.90. Next to the fact that it was just too cheap to leave it, I was also crazy about SSX Tricky, which I bought because I was once totally hooked to the SSX PS2 demo which ended after 2:30 minutes. Imagine how many times I restarted that demo when I tell you I've played it more than Gran Turismo 3. A LOT, I can tell you that. SSX TRicky was the bomb, absolutely one of the most fun games on the Cube, and now I've got SSX 3. But there are still so many games to play before I can get to it.
Ralexand - February 19, 2006 11:32 AM (GMT)
The last game I bought was Gothic I and Gothic II Addon :P
sjaak - February 19, 2006 11:37 AM (GMT)

My last game was Otogi: Myth of Demons. I'm still playing, cause I'm in a really hard level right now :(.

Oh, that's right. Reaper, I forget to mention this at school but I'll say it now: You might be the next lucky bragging bastard, because I've read on budgetgaming.nl that SSX 3 is 5 euros on the Xbox at the Intertoys. It should be the case with our Intertoys as well. Talking about a shamefully cheap game.
The_Evil_Reaper - February 19, 2006 02:12 PM (GMT)
That is cheap :o
Maybe I'll buy it :P
G.A.Pster - February 20, 2006 01:52 AM (GMT)
a bargain PC game box, with commandos 2, Deus Ex game of the year edition, thief 2 and tomb raid chronicles…….only $3.99.

I played a demo of it I didn’t think it was all that great. My mini review:
“The intro is pretty cool it shows the loading and firing of several guns.
Here are my many gripes on it, the aiming is way way too slow and it doesn’t give you the option to change the speed, though the guns look beautiful they suffer from timesplitters syndrome and have there coking mechanisms and things on the wrong side, and when you’re selecting your firemode you have full auto, semi auto, and single shot, it says semi auto instead of burst which is what it is! You can shoot a guy 5 times with a shotgun before you kill him, but you can also kill guys far beyond a realistic range (even in games) for a shotgun, you’d think for a game that was all about the guns they’d get this stuff right. The graphics however are very good though it’s annoying there's no blood or at least very little (typical EA)………if it wasn’t for it’s sloth like handling and it’s unrealistic shotgun this could’ve been a good game.”

there aren’t anymore, but
I’m not all that interested in commandos 2 more of a C&C man myself; I bought it for Thief 2 and Deus Ex.
How’s $2 USD sound for Commandos 2 plus shipping which’d probably be $5 USD.
Denden666Piek - February 20, 2006 02:07 AM (GMT)
Ah, don't worry. I know how to get those games real cheap. Thanks for the offer, though. I just can't seem to get myself to buy them. It's so much easier when it's in a box. It's just like with games that seem a bit too expensive for 6 euro, and when they're 4 I won't hesitate to buy. Strange, huh? Dutch mentality, I guess.
Hraesvelgr - February 20, 2006 06:48 AM (GMT)
The last game I bough was Soul Calibur 3. Cost me over 50 bucks, but it's one of the best buys I ever made. Quickly became my favorite, and in the past month I've logged like, oh, say 72 hours on it (that's a lot). One of the best games ever made, much less best fighting games. I cannot impress upon you how awesome this game is.
Although, as of late I've been really hooked on SSX3. Heh... go figure.

Well, I just got Star Wars Empire at War for $50 (US)
I'm a huge Star Wars Fan...
I'm a huge Real-time-strategy fan....
So I LOVE this game! I've beenwaiting for it gor a long time.
"Star Wars Rebelion" was a terrible rts in many gamers eyes. Described s "micro managment hell" and so, the first star wars rts was... pretty bad... (Although I enjoyed it...)
The next rts by Lucas Arts was Galactic Battlegrounds which was a glorified Age of Empires so it was nothing special. and NOW!!!!
Empire at war, which combines the best of the tactical play, galactic conquest, fights... OH, I love it... I just started but so far... I'm totally blown away! ( and that's just by going through the tutorials  )
So, THAT's the last game I bought!

Yes, I'm fairly disappointed as well. You have to shoot dudes around 10 times before they actually die. And there are just too much enemies in the game. It's frustrating to shoot 140 terrorists while there are only 3 models (at least from what I have seen).
This will probably be a game I play for a week and after that it gets thrown to the back of my stash of games (I'll give you guys a pic soooon).

ehmz...the last game I bought that'd be pokémon ruby, 2 or 3 years ago.
I only buy games for my handheld.
all ps2 games I have were either gifts, or my bro bought them (like tekken 5 recently since it became platinum).
However...I am thinking about buying 50cent: Bulletproof (I know everyone says it sux and stuff, even the holy PU guys said so, but) I think it'd be funny...don't do a damn thing and let your homies, which are the bulletproof ones, clear every stage for you XD

There’s no one that likes that game, don’t buy it. you should get Blood Rayne.
daidalos - February 22, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
Since I´m a huge Star Wars fan either, I would´ve been possible that I buy Empire at War too. I really loved the space battles, but I just miss the classical base building stage. So I prefer Winter Assault over Empire at War. :)
The last guy I bought was X3 Reunion. It´s bugged as hell, it´s slow, there is much stuttering, the introduction is too difficult for new player (good thing I already played X2) but I love this game. Although some promised features aren´t in the game (yet?) the dev´s released some patches very quickly, killing the worst bugs. I love the economy and it´s really a great thing that you can buy and command your little armada. You can buy almost all ships (you have to capture some of them, because they´re not sold as they belong to the big enemy). Actually there are six classes of ships. The smallest is the M5 - Scout, then there´s the M4 - Medirum Fighter, the M3 - Heavy Fighter, an M6 - Corvette, the M2 - Destroyer and the M1 - Carrier.
And the game has a really large modding community. Someone already managed to make a new class. M7 - it´s a frigate I think.
But I´ll have to warn you. Although the community is kinda big, especially the third part is not very popular and still very buggy. I would not advise this game to anyone, but if you like space shooters or economic simulations you MAY like this game.

Are you frikkin' serious :P. Damn... You're even more stupid than I thought! The only reason why you should buy that game is, that you can break in twine, trow it from a building, put in the microwave(oh no, poor microwave, leave that one out), use it for target practice & getting it overrun by a bulldozer. Otherwise I don't see any use for it.
But I guess everyone has got their own taste

I think you'll find it absolutely rubbish by just reading this summary, especially notice the last horribly clichéd sentence.

The game delivers intense Online gameplay for up to 16 players, as well as a rich single player experience. G.A.Pster - February 26, 2006 11:20 PM (GMT)
I was excited about it before it came out I figured it has tons of different weapons, and you can play as the cops and kill the gang bangers, but the reviews I’ve read show it’s absolute garbage.

Of what i have seen of the game if you haven't played fable {normal x-box version} it is good and it's a great story !!
I played a bit at Duke's house and seen alot of it while he played :P .

Denden666Piek - February 28, 2006 02:22 AM (GMT)
For 20 euros Fable would be in my collection in no time...if it was for the Gamecube that is. I'm having trouble buying games for the pc, it just doesn't seems as valuable as it seems like when I buy it for the Cube. I bought Timesplitters: Future Perfect for the Gamecube for only 9.99 yesterday. :rulez: I love the local gamesshop more and more every day. Now they even have beautiful figurines of creatures from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children next to the character figurines they already had. It's always a joy to walk in there.

It looks pretty cool actually, but don’t buy it until you read some reviews the last thing I read about said it’s combat needed more work (it’s not out yet)…………………if you’re looking for a tagging game to keep you going until ME’s Getting Up comes out, get Jetset Radio future for Xbox (or if you have a Dream cast pick up the original) you go around on roller blades spray painting everything, it’s a really cool game. :rulez:

Now all I need is the new Mario Bros. in development for the DS.

Yahoo! Just bought Paper Mario 2 today. I searched the whole of The Hague for it and everywhere it was 60 €'s! (Also Media Markt and Intertoys for those try-to-be-smarters who go to Budgetgaming.nl *cough Denden cough* ^_^ )
Just defeated Hooktail! I'm really digging the humour. Thanks for letting me try it plus!

I have never found budgetgaming.nl useful for my games. I just keep a close eye on the shops myself and by coincidence I find a good budgetgame every once in a while. Budgetgaming is just a nice site to hang out and I know perfectly well that shops like Mediamarket rarely have the same prices in all their locations. You really have to keep your eyes open when you're depending on budgetgaming for your games. I'm happy you found it, though.
